Mixing and Mastering is when an engineer takes the recorded audio files/stems for a song and makes the individual files/stems work together to form a cohesive, focused and powerful song.

Once you have had one of your songs Mixed and Mastered, you will want all your songs treated! Luckily we offer discounts for when you want an album or EP done.

By providing us with your own rough mix we can get a clear sense of the ‘vibe’ you are going for and you will get a result you love much more quickly. Don’t be shy here! Even a very basic and very rough mix is always super helpful. 

Also, for technical reasons, it is worth mentioning other artists you admire who you feel have a similar style to yours. (Obviously you have your own unique style and we will preserve and enhance your uniqueness!) 

By providing a rough mix, mentioning other artists/songs with a similar vibe and doing revisions you really will get the mix of your dreams and that’s a promise! 

Due to the high demand for our service we have found ourselves in a position to choose to focus on the genres we love most-pop, rock, country, jazz, indie, etc…in fact all the styles which mostly feature real instruments & vocals.

We choose NOT to enhance Hip-Hop, Rap or EDM, as those genres are not really in alignment with our values. We prefer to enhance the genres which we believe are life affirming, uplifting and empowering.

After you have had a look around the website, listened to some demos and you feel that Heart of Fire is a good fit for you and your music:

• You can place a booking by filling in the name of your song, paying through PayPal or credit card, then send a message to us telling us about you and your song.
• Or you can simply send a message and we can discuss your vision for your song, there’s no sales pitch or pressure tactics so lets chat! Maybe you’ll feel we are the perfect fit for you or maybe not, we’re never short of clients so its all good, so reach out if you feel like it.

After you have placed an order just follow these easy steps:

1. Create a zip folder containing your audio files/stems. (export them from your DAW as ‘consolidated’ audio files)
2. Upload your folder to ‘wetransfer.com’
3. Send us a message with a link to the ‘wetransfer.com’ folder you created. We will then send you a confirmation message. Thats it!

As soon as your song enhancement is complete you will receive the highest quality MP3 & WAV files of your song, which you can then upload to your favorite online streaming service or burn it to cd for distribution, proving to your fans that you really are a serious artist!

You keep 100% of the rights to the song.

You keep ALL royalties from the sales of your song.
We only ask that you mention us in the credits if you like our service but you don’t have to 🙂

The Enhancement process takes 5-7 days (or up to 9 days during a sale) to complete, although the majority of our clients are delighted with the initial enhancement, clients sometimes request revisions which can add a few more days. See ‘Revisions’ below for details.

If you have used software instruments such as ‘Guitar Rig’, ‘EZ Drummer’, ‘Omnisphere’ etc. – send those tracks with the sounds you have chosen ‘Baked-In’. However, DO REMOVE REVERB from each instrument as much as possible – completely dry tracks are ideal.

If the instruments were recorded live with microphones – send those tracks WITHOUT ANY REVERB.

If you have done your own vocal tuning that you are pleased with you can send that ‘Baked-In’

Also remove as much compression, limiting and EQ as possible. Completely dry is always best. You can leave in other effects that have a musical quality such as chorus, phasers, overdrive, etc.

Also please name your tracks clearly (e.g- instead of ‘LV’ say ‘Lead Vocal’, instead of ‘Ba’ say ‘Bass Amp’)

Of course every song has its quirks and if you are not sure about a certain track you can always ask us for guidance. By taking these small steps it ensures your song will sound its very best when it is complete.

On occasion we are asked to make minor adjustments after a song has been enhanced (such as to increase or reduce the volume of a certain instrument), in the event where you want a change, we allow unlimited revisions to be made at no expense to you. Each revision takes 2-3 days to process. When the revisions are complete and you are delighted with your song we will then send you the final mix package with the Full High Quality 24bit Version of the song.

We can:

We can accept adjustments to instructions you have mentioned that perhaps aren’t exactly how you envisioned them.
We can adjust the volume of an instrument and/or vocal.
We can adjust the level of effects (such as reverb, delay, etc.)

We cannot:

We cannot make changes to the arrangement of the song or do heavy editing.
We cannot accept new audio file/stem submissions after mixing has commenced.

As soon as you are happy with your shiny new enhanced song, you will receive the full High Quality Wav File. Your song will be ready for every streaming platform and device so your fans can hear your musical genius revealed in all its glory!

Terms & Conditions

This Service allows you to have your songs enhanced and obtain downloads of the enhanced songs from either we-transfer, our e-mail or website.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our website or e-mail, your information is protected both online and offline. This includes your audio files, name, phone number, address, email and any other info you may send us.  We also safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, through access control procedures, network firewalls and physical security measures.

This website contains material which is owned by us, licensed to us, or consent was given to use it. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, audio files and graphics. Reproduction is strictly prohibited and unauthorised use of material will be prosecuted.

Payments:

Payment must be made in full before enhancement begins on your song.

You can use a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card to pay with PayPal. You can also use a debit card that displays the Visa or MasterCard logo.

Uploading Files:

We provide instructions on how to properly prepare and send your files for our enhancement services. The client is responsible for the following:

The quality of the recordings.
Correct preparation of all files sent for enhancement.
Arrangement and layout of vocal and instrument files/tracks.
Ensuring all audio files required to be enhanced are included.
Ensuring all notes and requests are included in a text file or prior email.
Ensuring all spelling for credits are correct.
Ensuring contact information is provided and spelled correctly.
Copyrights for all uploaded files.
Ownership and rights of all uploaded files.

If the clients files are not prepared or sent correctly it will either not be accepted or the service will be rendered using the files provided the way they were received.

Turnaround Time:

The Enhancement process takes 5 to 7 days (or up to 9 days during a sale).

Turnaround time for Revisions — 2 or 3 Days each

Revisions:

We allow revisions to be made at no expense to you. Each revision takes 2 – 3 days to process and ALL revisions must be completed before the Final mix package is sent.

We can:

We can accept adjustments to instructions mentioned on the mixing form, that perhaps aren’t exactly how you envisioned them.
We can adjust the volume of an instrument and/or vocal.
We can adjust the level of effects such as reverb and delay.

We cannot:

We cannot make changes to the arrangement such as creating drops, stop effects and mutes
We cannot accept new file submissions (Vocal files or instrument files) after the mixing phase has commenced.

Storage:

After your project is completed, the files sent to us will be deleted from our system 14 days after. After that, revisions and exports will no longer be available for that song. Unless you resend your files and have the song enhanced again.

Sales and Discounts:

We sometimes offer sales and discounts for our services. These sales are only available for a limited time. When a client orders a service during the time of the sale the client understands that the turnaround time for the order made during the sale is up to 9 days. Processing of orders made during a sale is done on a first come first serve basis.

Refunds:

Heartoffireproductions.com services offer a 30 day money back guarantee. The client waives the right to this guarantee as soon as they request a revision to the initial mix or receive the final mix package. No refunds will be given once the 30 days have elapsed.

Understanding and Responsibility

Client is responsible for reading and understanding the terms and conditions and refund policies. Client is also responsible for viewing the FAQ page and making sure all questions and concerns are answered before placing an order.
